You *may* be able to obtain some of what you need here:

but it involves a registration process, and (apparently) a lot of
preparation in order to make use of the data...more time than can be
justified for a $20 question.

But take a look, and let me know if it seems worthwhile...

Statistics of UK households for the past 10 years will almost
certainly have to be derived from the 1991 and 2001 Censuses at
http://www.statistics.gov.uk/census/. As far as I can see
Neighbourhood statistics have not been compiled for postcodes as such,
but for Local Authority wards, and for subdivisions of such wards.
There is a facility for inputting a postcode, and being taken to the
ward subdivision; BUT this has to be the FULL 5 or 6 character
postcode, not just the first part, like RG8

i am infact using some of that data, however, require post codes.

I cant find away to map this information to a postal code regions.
