Hello tweekie-ga,

The Bee Gees (Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb) were born on the Isle of Man.

You will find many references to Barry Gibb being born in Manchester,
England. However, Barry Gibb?s official website, as well as many other
reputable sources, lists his place of birth as the Isle of Mann.

Click on ?Who is Barry Gibb? on the upper left side of the page.

?Barry was born on September 1st 1946 in Douglas, Isle of Man. At the
age of five his mother and father, (Barbra and Hughie), sister
(Leslie) and twin brothers (Robin and Maurice) moved to Manchester,
England.?

?The Gibb brothers were born on the Isle of Man, but moved to
Manchester in the 1950s.?

the icons on the years 1946 and 1949.

According to Allmusic.com, Barry Gibb was born in Manchester, England
and his brothers Robin and Maurice were born on the Isle of Man.
However, based on the references listed above, I believe this is in
error.

?The group was also rock's most successful brother act. Barry Gibb,
born on September 1, 1946, in Manchester, England, and his fraternal
twin brothers Robin Gibb and Maurice Gibb, born on December 22, 1949,
on the Isle of Man, were three of five children of Hugh Gibb, a
bandleader, and Barbara Gibb, a former singer.?

I hope this helps.
