I was chosen as "soldier of the troop"--they printed a "LIFE MAGAZINE"
replica about me--is it still around--how can I get it? It was about
Feb or March Or April 1953

I would be able to point you to one or more web sources that sell
copies of Life magazine from February to April (as well as the rest
of) 1953.

But are you searching for an actual Life magazine, or some sort of
facsimile of Life that was printed as a keepsake?

If you are looking for a facsimile, do you have any idea who printed
it? Did it just relate to you, or did it relate also to other
soldiers? Was it printed just in your case, or were others printed as
well?

Also, what does "solider of the troop" mean? I'm unfamiliar with that
term, and the term does not seem to appear in search engines. Was it
something specific to the unit you served in, and if so, what was the
unit (if it's not too personal for me to ask)?

Any additional information you can provide might be helpful.

Please explain, as I am a little bit confused. When you say that a
LIFE Magazine replica was printed, do you mean (1) There was an actual
article or mention of your name printed in an actual Life Magazine
issue that mentions the name or picture of Joseph Orndorff or Rod
Witman, or (2) Some type of memento or photo was made up to LOOK LIKE
the cover of a LIFE Magazine issue, but was never really a part of the
actual Life magazine?

Who gave it to you, and did any other members receive that same honor?

What are the measurements and was it covered by any type of protective
material to guard against deterioration?

SINCERELY,
4keith-ga
