I was sent a ticket in the mail regarding a ticket I supposedly received on the Metro. Someone apparently used my name (there was no identification shown at the time the ticket was issued) and my address and had the ticket sent to my residence. Because I have never been cited on the Muni, I contested my ticket. The tricky part is that the ticket was issued on the same train that I board daily and the location of the infraction was right in between my residence and my job. My employer gives all the employees a monthly Muni pass and I saved the one from the month of the ticket. I'm hoping that the judge sees the error and sympathizes with me. How do I prove to the judge that it was not me that received this ticket and win a case of stolen identity? |
