How do I pronounce the Russian words for "smoke", "sky", "gray", "blue", "cat" and "kitten" in English? |

smoke: di [like in "disturb" without "sturb"] + m [like in "my" without "y"] sky : ne[very soft - almost like in "near" but without "r] + ba [like in "but" without "t"] grey : se [like in "send" without "nd"] + ry [like in "rythm" without "thm"] + y [short like in "yes" without "es"] blue: go [like in "got" without "t"] + woo [like in "wood" without "d"] + bo [like in "bottom" without "ttom"] + y [short like in "yes" without "es"] cat : cot [like beggining of "cotton"] kitten: cot [like beggining of "cotton"] + yen [like Japanese currency]+ na [like in "narrow" without "rrow"] + k [like "cat" without "at" :)] I hope you will be able to decipher what I meant. In most cases \i tired to find english word and brake it in to piecec and then if you pronaunce this piece it should sound as in russian. XYS |
