I am trying to locate additional information regarding the victims of
hurricane Katrina.  Specifically, what was the racial composition of
those killed by Katrina?  I have some early estimates from the LA Dept
of Health that the victims were 42% African American and 37% white,
but would like more updated and complete data, ideally from MA and AL
as well.

The racial composition report is based on a sample of 224 bodies,
statistically that should be sufficient (Its almost 1/4 of those
killed).

This one is more up to date, larger racial identification count on the bodies.
