I am trying to learn more about the direct compensation that the
federal government provided to Katrina victims. I've heard about
$2000 debit cards being handed out at the Superdome, and some
temporary housing assistance, but want to know more specifics about
these and any other forms of direct compensation, monetary and
otherwise, already provided. I want to get a complete picture of what
has been done for victims.
