Question ID: 596720
I am helping a client to set up a server farm and need some benchmarking data.

1. What are some (say, 5) of the biggest server farms in the world?
Who owns them/what are they used for? How much did they cost?
2. What industries run the biggest server farms?
3. How intensive are the computer storage and processing needs of the
following industries: pharma (incl dna sequencing), telecoms, finance
and broadcasting. Please provide some examples or metrics.

By server farm, I mean a large collection of computers used either for
storage or for processing power. In this question I do not want to
include the famous supercomputers.
