Have you considered using pam-ldap?

Yes.  I need step by step instructions to use pam-ldap and
pam-kerberos with Active Directory.

I am looking for the same information.
I used this http://weblog.bignerdranch.com/?p=6 as a guide to a
certain point, but then ran into instructions that do not apply to
Suse 10.
