My computer shuts off automatically after about 15 min inactivity.
This is a major nuisance if I have to go to the bathroom or download a
long file. Does anybody know of a way of stopping this. I have a
pentium with windows 95

I haven't worked in Windows 95 in a long time, however it sounds like
you have some sort of power management turned on. Open the control
panel and try looking under "Power Management"

To open the control panel in 95, I believe it's Start->Settings->Control Panel.

It does sound like you have some sort of power management turned on.
To access these features right click on your desktop and choose
properties. Go to the screen saver tab and at the bottom there should
be a 'Power button'. Examine the options in those tabs. Hopefully this
will fix your problem.

Cheers.

May I suggest, that since your question has been answered in the
comment section, that you close the question... Then, the posting
will have cost you only 50¢ ...
