Hi Tony,

There are only two tug operators in the Port of Melbourne. There used
to be just Adsteam Marine, but new private company Australian Maritime
Services has just arrived on the scene with two tugs, the Yarra and
the Flinders - as mentioned in The Age newspaper last April:
http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2002/04/29/1019441345239.html

Recently the Sydney Morning Herald mentioned that Australian Maritime
Services had gained 30-40% of the Port of Melbourne business and were
looking at becoming a listed company:
http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2002/08/22/1029114163653.html

Operating smaller tugs (738 BHP compared to a minimum of 2440 BHP for
the other two companies) within Port Phillip Bay is the Williamstown
based Korevaar Marine - listed at the Australian Shipowners Assoc.
website:
http://www.asa.com.au/pages/i_towage_vic.html

Adsteam Marine tugs are listed here as being operated by Howard Smith
Towage:

Yet elsewhere the owners are known as United Salvage Pty. Ltd.
