This is about the construction of the Portland Aerial Tram. I am
interested in finding out how they plan to string the cable across the
span from one station to the other. This seems like a difficult task
considering the weight of the cable, major roadways and homes
underneath the path. I would like information that concerns this
project directly, or would appericate information on similair
projects. I think they would use a helicopter.

I figured out the answer. A helicopter will lift a smaller cable and
string it through the system. This smaller cable is then tied to the
much larger tram cable and is pulled through the system.
