Walking beside you, your friend takes 50 strides per minute while you
take 48 strides per minute.  If you start in step, when will you be in
step again?

In 30 sec one will have taken 24 steps and the other will have taken 25 steps
and they will be back in step:
Let f1 = 50/min
    f2 = 48/min
    N1 = steps taken by faster stepper (shorter strides)
    N2 = steps taken by longer strider

  N1      = f1 * T(time)
  N1 - 1  = f2 * T     (since N2 takes 1 less step than N1         

   Divide one equation by the other and solve
