One manual way is to go to Tools-->Internet Options and click on
"Delete Files" , "Delete Cookies" and "Clear History"

I use a software called crap cleaner to clean up these things

Hi,

you can use method posted form jibranilyas-ga, but better will be
using software called Acronis Privacy Expert Suite (www.acronis.com)
for secure and encrypted data cleaning. This is the real solution for
complete destroy
unwanted files.

1. Take the machine off the internet by unplugging your ethernet
cord, or by not dialing in during this process. You may have a
program on there that is "phoning home" and will prevent you from
cleaning up.
2. Download webroot's window washer on demo from
http://www.webroot.com/consumer/products/windowwasher/ You may or may
not want to own this. the company does not seem to be supporting it,
but it is a good option for today
3. Install and run window washer. Make sure that you configure to
clean up disk tracks for your browser of use and to delete temporary
files.
4. Use a wiping software to wipe the unallocated and file slack space
on your computer. There are many options for this. evidence
eliminator is the best, but will cost you. it's invaluable in my
opinion.
5. Before getting back on the internet make sure you are running
virus software and at least one form of spyware detector. I use
microsoft and sypware blaster. You can always download these to a CD
on another computer and then install them to your infected computer
6. Get back on the internet.
7. Happy surfing!
