I am looking for a piece of software that will rip CDs. The catch is
this. I have several "concert" and "DJ" CDs that are multiple tracks.
When I play them back on an MP3 player or in Windows Media Player,
there is a slight pause between the tracks. What I need is a software
that will rip these CDs into 1 continuous MP3 track.

Hello paulalley-ga

Thank-you for your question.

This is possible using the excellent Audiograbber software (and the
best part is that the software is free!).

You can download the software here:
http://www.audiograbber.com-us.net/download.html

To rip a CD as one track in AudioGrabber simply follow the instructions below:

1) Insert the CD and once displayed right click the last track and
select track properties
2)Towards the bottom of the track properties dialog box there is a
section called sectors. Copy the number shown in Last and press OK.
3) Right click the first track and select track properties.
4) In Sectors paste the number copied previously in Last. Press OK.
5) De-select all tracks with the exception of track one and rip as normal.
6) You now have one mp3 of the album.

This function was discussed in the AudioGrabber forum:
http://www.audiograbber.com-us.net/boards/ubb/Forum1/HTML/003909.html

Should you require any further assistance on this subject please do
not hesitate to ask for clarification.

CDEx does this as well, and (if I recall correctly) provides better
quality extraction.
