I am restoring a 1947 Chris craft deluxe runabout... I am in search of the best way to apply the white strips to the front & back deck. I have done it before, and was not very successful. I tapped the entire deck (blue 3M painting tape)except for the 1/4" strip then painted with white paint, the problem was the paint bleed under the tape. Looking for perfection in the stripping work to hard on the rest of fininsh to have sloppy strips - |

This is done with a pinstriping tool. My brother has my dads old Chris Craft and has had it redone several times and that is how it is done. |
