Want to put Outlook contacts, Calender Icons, etc into Quicklaunch. I can only find the OUtlook icon, which causes me to go into outlook then click on the Outlook program I want. Any way to create a shortcut? Even if I have to put it on the desktop, then drag it into the XP Quicklaunch bar. |

You can do this using your Outlook shortcuts. Simply add a /select command-line switch to them: right-click on the shortcut, select Properties, and add one of the following to the end. /select outlook:calendar /select outlook:contacts etc. You can also select a different icon to give each shortcut a distinctive appearance. From the Outlook help file (I searched on "command line" and chose "switch reference"): /select foldername Starts Outlook and opens the specified folder in a new window. For example, to open Outlook and display the default calendar use: "c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\Outlook.exe" /select outlook:calendar |

Thanks a million! that worked effortlessly. I would never have guessed to put that phrase in the help area. |
