Hi southnfried-ga,

Given the possible answers, it appears to be 8.05733 minus 10.

In order to find the corresponding logarithm, we must solve this equation:

log(x) = 8.05733 - 10 = -1.94267
10^(log(x)) = 10^(-1.94267)
x = 0.011411

So the answer from your choices is "D".

The trick is to eliminate the log by raising both sides of the
equation by 10 (the implied base of the log).

Thanks for using Google Answers.
