Hi!!

To solve this using logarithms recall the following logarithm's property:
log(a^x) = x*log(a)

So log(1.05^9) = 9*log(1.05) = 9*0.021189 = 0.190701

Since  m =10^log(m) ==> 
==> 1.05^9 = 10^[9*log(1.05)] = 10^(0.190701) = 1.5513

Assuming some rounding error the answer to your question is the b) option.
