What is the best deal out there for a new, no-fee credit card that
will give at least 15,000 frequent flier miles (hopefully more!) and
higher status on flights (the equivalent of Silver or Gold Medallion
status)? I'm familiar with the AmEx Delta card offering 15,000 miles
and the Citi American card offering 15,000 miles, but I know there
must be better deals.

I'm planning to go to Asia and would love something
that would automatically raise me to business class or would allow me
to easily upgrade. Flying into either Hong Kong or Bangkok.

Any thoughts? Thanks!
Thanks!

What airline in particular are you interested in obtaining miles with?
For many airlines, elite status is based on actual paid flight legs
instead of frequent flyer miles.

I'm pretty flexible on airlines... just looking for the best deal out
there and some way to get to Asia in business class without spending a
fortune. Cathay Pacific (partner of American) has good flights but
American's elite status program is extremely restrictive. Delta has
lousy connections to Bangkok (a 3-hr. layover in Taipei) but their
elite status program is great and I already have a bunch of miles on
them. And I've never flown EVA, so who knows?

Any thoughts?
