I'm looking for an anthology of children's Christmas stories. I remember one about a boy who found a magical Christmas tree angel in the attic and wished for something stupid that ends up making him miserable and shows him how much he likes his life the way it is. But, the story I?m really interested in is about a girl from a poor family who wasn?t going to have anything to celebrate Christmas (gifts, decorations, special foods, etc.). So, on Christmas Eve, she gets out a brand new box of crayons and decides to draw decorations (wreath, tree, etc.) on large pieces of cardboard (maybe to surprise a little brother?). Then the story gets a little fuzzy. I think when she opens the box of crayons to admire the ?new crayon smell,? they start to talk to her. She ends up drawing lots of things and goes to bed. In the morning, all of her drawings have come to life (or maybe they just smell like what they?re supposed to be). I tried googling for the story, but I can?t find it. Can you help? | |

There is a site where people have posted their questions about old stories and there are also many answers to those queries. http://www.logan.com/loganberry/nostalgia.html |
