I have a quick question. On two Mac running OS X.4 can you map a drive
from the other computer so that it will remount each time you turn on
the computer? I also would like this to happen on a user account that
does not have administrator rights.

thanx in advnce,

Your best bet would probably be to just use AppleScript.

Just open AppleScript and Type:

open location "afp://192.168.0.x/Your_Partition"

Save your script and then put it in the startup items. [System Prefs->
Accounts -> (With your account selected) Login Items]

The first time that it mounts, you will want to tell it to remember
the username and password in the Keychain (It should be a checkbox
below the password entry box).

Now when you startup your computer (or just login to your account) it
should run the script, ask you if you want to mount, and (if you click
yes) mount the partition.

You may also simply add the mounted volume itself to login items.
This will cause a Finder window to be opened upon login, but doesn't
require any scripting.

Finally, you could use SharePoints AutoMounter
<http://www.hornware.com/sharepointsautomounter/>, which lets you
configure OS X to do this automatically on startup (not just login)
but requires the "server" permit guest access.
