What are fundamental characteristics of stock?
I am looking for e-text or book references with good description of
all known basic stock characteristics like volatility, cycles, Eliot
waves etc. The more scientific description is the better. If a single
source does not exist, I will be satisfied with a complete list.
I have a suspicion that at least 50-100 such fundamental
characteristics exist. Some of them are less obvious then others. For
example, it is known that the best day for investments is first day of
the month and the worst is 23rd of the month. This is a kind of
characteristics I am looking for.
Please do not include books that you did not read yourself.

This is a very good question and one that I have often wanted to get
information on. There are so many different terms all of which mean
something to a stock broker but are meaningless to everyone else. Here
are a few websites that you will find useful in your search for
meaning to these myriad of stock market and business terms.

The following site has many good definitions of terms and short
articles on buying stocks etc.
http://stocks.about.com/mbody.htm

Another place to get some good material is Kirk Lindstrom's Personal
finance website. It has lots of excellent links, articles,
discussions, and he also recommends a book called, "Wall Street
Words". This book contains definitions for nearly 4000 terms used by
stock brokers and business people. The book is available at Barnes and
Noble online for about $11.00. For more information go to Kirk's
website. He has a link that will take you right to the book and
information on getting it online if you want.
The url for Kirk's site is here:

For more books helpful to the novice investor check out more of Kirk's
suggestions:

Hope that helps. If you need more information don't be afraid to ask.

Unfortunately this is not the answer I would like to receive. I am
looking not for definition but for description. Links you provided are
useless. I do not advises for “novice investor”.

So, I apologize for my misspellings.

I expect significant service for them. I do not think I deserve the
harsh tone of last commentary.

I am sorry that I was unable to answer your question. I did not know
you were knowledgable about the stock market and wanted a more complex
answer. I hope another researcher will be able to answer your
question.
