I have what I think is a somewhat complicated problem that probably has a simple solution. I have two Excel Sheets both of them are inventory lists, they contain many rows and many columns. I want to compare both lists so I can REPRODUCE the first list after comparing to the updated inventory list with the following 2 changes. 1)When they are being compared, the second list (more current inventory) should delete from the first list what is not present (hence, out of stock) on the second list. 2)AND it should ADD to the first list item that ARE present on the second list but were not on the first list. Obviously it whatever is being deleted and added shold be done ALONG with the associated information that is located in the other columns. How can this be done? If I am not clear, which I am sure Im not, please post for clarification. | |

Wat you can do is firstly, Copy data of both sheet in Single sheet... Side by side... Now arrange both sort the complete data... After doing this, just use the Excel Function "Exact" for comparing the data... If there wud be matching data you wud find the value true... else false... With the help of which you can find which data is not present in sheet1 or sheet2, n u can combine the data in one single sheet... Hope this work's n you can come out of the problem Namra |
