These types of record retrievals come with a fee. Would you like me to
direct you to some online places where you can do this for a retrieval
fee?

Some of the sources I mentioned above have a guaranteed 24 hour
turnaround on the report.

Just let me know.

I am familiar with the Pacer service which charges a fee, but they
seem to only have electronic information that does not include the
years 1983-1984.This information is very important to me due to a 22
year old claim that I owe some riduculous amount of sales tax to the
state of Ohio. So, actually getting the information without paying a
fee to later find that it is not available, or the source couldn't get
to it is not what I am looking for. On the other hand, If someone can
actually get this information, I would certainly pay a fee. As I
recall the prefix to the case file was B83-xxxx

Tim

I just did this for myself in Florida.

Assuming Ohio works similar to Florida, contact the county (where it
was filed) Clerk of Courts, and they will tell you how to obtain the
info (Record number, box number, file number, etc).

In my case, after contacting the clerk of courts, it was as simple as
calling the Bankruptcy court who had all the information required (the
info listed above in paren's)to get the records from archive. I then
contacted the Federal Archive and was able to order the complete
record of the banruptcy.

Thank you for your comment. I have already sent a formal request for
file information to the court per their procedure, using their form.
They charge 26.00 for this which is no problem. Hopefully, this will
resolve the issue. My concern is that the request will get ignored, or
take a long time to get a response.

Tim

ACCESS TO BANKRUPTCY AND OTHER COURT CASE FILES, CA. 1940 - 1998

This is the fist site you have to go to (record only from 1991/92):

http://www.archives.gov/research/court-records/bankruptcy.html

You will get a page showing table of stages. Select Ohio,
or click on the Dayton facility whose link provided below:

http://www.archives.gov/research/court-records/ohio-bankruptcy-cases-index.html

http://www.archives.gov/great-lakes/dayton/public/courts.html

Bankruptcy and Other Court Case Files
in NARA's Great Lakes Region (Dayton, OH)

So far so good. The problem is they have records only from 1991/92.
However the title says 1940-1998.

They have give full details of how to go about acquiring the data.
You can contact them by email, fax :

NARA's Great Lakes Region (Dayton), 3150 Springboro Road, Dayton, Ohio 45439-1867
OR
fax your request and credit card information to: 937-425-0649 or Email
dayton.reference@nara.gov.

You have to make payment towards the data. That is after ascertaining
that they have the data you are in need of.

Good Luck.

Well, well, i have spend some good time rustling up that. Anyway, i
have got some good resources marked for future use. I would not have
chanced on those had i not bothered to research on your query.
