I am looking for a list of remote network management outsourcing companies. The companies should preferably come from India (because of their low cost and english capabilities). I?m looking to possibly outsource network management for a small network. The network consists of 25 sites. Each site has a Cisco router. Including the headquarters, there would be approximately 30 network devices. Because it is a small network, the large outsourcing companies would not fit. These companies should be able to do 24/7 monitoring and troubleshooting. |

What is your maximum budget? The budget in this case determines the pool of companies. Also, do you have a Cisco contract with RMA capabilities? Do you have someone oncall for each site in order to physically reseat or swap a card or a power supply incase they fail? |

Good questions. "What is your maximum budget" -- We can go to the local phone company and pay approximately $100/device. At this price we would do it in-house. What's the max $/device? I'm not sure. "do you have a Cisco contract with RMA capabilities?" -- We could probably handle this part ourselves (e.g. if a router needs to be returned, the outsourcing company would tell us the device is dead and we would handle the RMA ourselves.) "Do you have someone oncall for each site in order to physically reseat or swap a card or a power supply incase they fail?" -- Yes we would. We wish to outsource but more accurately I think we wish to outsource just parts of the network management. We're looking for someone to monitor and do remote troubleshooting. We would be the "remote hands" and do provide all RMA functions in conjunction with the outsourced provider. This question is not a RFP. I'm just looking for a list of possible fits (5-20 company names?) I would then follow up with them directly and get more specific. Thanks. |

You'd go to India rather than deal local? We now do the work you describe for the nation's second largest Ford dealer, another regional GM dealer that does nearly the same volume, a regional ISP covering a significant portion of Nebraska, etc. $100/device seems a little thin so I'd want to know more about the exact requirements per site. When can we talk? neal at layer3arts dot com would be a good way to reach me. |

Are you looking for a group that does engineer level analysis of alarms, or a group that has a network management solution (ie: OpenView Network Node Manager - NNM) that does automated software analysis of issues and sends you alarms? |

Yes you are right Large outsourcing companies is not fit in your project. My suggestion is goto small solution provider who can give you best solution in the Low cost. You can find indian company through google.com. I know some company who doing such kind of projects like www.pinakisoftware.com, I used this company for one of my project. or Serach from google.com by BPO Service provider. SG |

Add Sourcio (www.sourcio.com) to the list of 5-20 companies to consider. They're not Indian but they are in Armenia, so the costs are fairly low as well, and everyone there speaks English. You should find some introductory info you need when you click on "services" on the left side of the page and then click on one of the resulting links there, or just email them at info@sourcio.com |
