By the way, I never heard back from Ms. O'Shaughnessy's publishers.  

I also checked two copyright databases for information, but neither of
them had a listing for Ms. O.  Hope you are able to ultimately track
down all the information you need.

It reaffirms one's faith in people!

Actually, I was able to track down her niece and grand-niece through a
mention in her obituary, which I was able to find once I knew when she
had died, thanks to you. IT took a while but all's well and I am
thrilled. I had been given a wonderful manuscript by O'Shaughnessy
that as a book developer I want to publish but no publisher would risk
an heir coming out of the woodwork. NOw we're proceeding. . .so look
out for it!
