Hi, To find out what are the keywords that bring you a visitor you need to analyze either referer field or query params. 1. Query: You may analyze query string to find out the keywords. In this case you need to specify the URL for your landing page as http://www.mysite.com/landing1.htm&k=keyword. + You don't need to know the format of the referer field - You cannot put more then one keyword for you ad or you won't know what keyword the visitor has typed. 2. Referer: You may extract keywords from the referer HTTP header. I am not sure that the format of the referer field is documented somewhere but you may analyze it and find out its structure. + You may have more than one keywords per ad - Need to find out structure of the referer; the structure have to be checked from time to time as it might be changed 3. The combination of the aboves method. + The chance to extact inappropriate keyword is low - Hard to maintain |
