Question ID: 600629
I'm looking for a few realistic looking plastic Painted Turtles. I
have been able to find quite a few Sea Turtles on the web, but no
Painted Turtles. I would like the replica turtles to be around 7 to 10
inches in size. I prefer plastic, due to what I want them for.

An acceptable answer would be any life like replica of common pond
turtles about 6 - 12 inches in size, and they should be plastic. The
varities of turtles that I would accept are (in order of preference)

Painted turtle (mud turtle)
Painted Turtles are medium-sized oval turtles. The females grow to 10
inches in length while the males only grow to 7 inches long.

Snapping turtle
It can have a carapace length of 20 inches and weigh over 70 pounds.
The shell is grayish brown and normally covered with algae.

Blanding's turtle
Blanding's Turtles can grow up to 11 inches long, but the average
carapace length is 7 to 9 inches.

If a plastic "Snapping Turtle" is found, it will need to meet the size
requirements listed above (6 - 12 inches).

Thanks in advance.

I saw that one on EBay, but it won't work for what I need.

I need a plastic one that I can make a "container out of. Basically I
want to cut the top part of the shell from the bottom part of the
shell, hollow it out if necessary, to make a container that looks like
a "real" turtle. The ultimate goal is to mount it to a log, and have
the casual observer believe it is a real turtle, but actually it will
be a hidden container.

The one listed on ebay won't work for my purposes. Thanks for trying.

Trainerjs, those are very close to what I am looking for, but they
look like sea turtles, and I can't really tell how big they are from
the picture. I will try to get more info about them. Thanks!

nfpolaris, those look really good, but are a little pricey for my
application. I expect that once I place the turtle where I want it,
that it may get stolen, and at > $45 per turtle, it could get
expensive real quick. Thanks.
