Check out this site: http://www.laborresearch.org/charts.php?id=34 It appears that union workers earn more than non-union, but then again while this is supposedly from the US Bureau of Labor Stats, it's on a pro-union website, so it could be biased. In my experience, actually, the opposite is true. |

It varies with the individual and the union. Non-union members are able to negotiate their individual pay. Union workers pay dues to the union and the union negotiates 'group pay structures.' In other words, it depends. I know this isn't the answer you're seeking. Perhaps you could be more specific. The current shift is away from unions. |
