This question is about TECHNICAL ANALYSIS in stock market finance.
Some technical indicators are considered are "NORMALISED" which mean
that they move in a specific and fixed range. for instance the RSI
moves from 0 to 100.
Some others indicators are considered as "PSEUDO-NORMALISED", which
means that even if the formula is not normalised, the indicators moves
between almost all the time the same maxima and minima, for instance
the CCI (or Commodity channel Index) moves almost all the time between
-300 and +300,
THe question is:
I would like to have a list (with formula) of all indicators that are
normalised or pseudo-normalised, or could be normalised. A common
example is the %BB (a normalised indicator based on the Bollinger
Bands).
PLEASE NOTE, that the answer should exclude these indicators, (because
i already know them.):
* Bollinger Bands %BB
* Commodity Channel Index (CCI)
* Directionnal Movement Indicators (DMI)
* Momentum (ROC)
* Relative Strenght Index (RSI)
* Standard Deviation
* Stochastic

Hello rudyzuck!
I could make a list of several normalized and "pseudo-normalized"
indicators; however, it would be difficult if not impossible to list
*all* indicators that fall into those categories. Besides from the
common indicators (which are the ones you list, plus many others, such
as MACD), many authors develop indicators of their own, or modify
previous ones. In other words, there is no "definitive" list of
indicators from where to pick the normalized ones.
Would you settle for a list of several indicators that fit your
request? How many would you like to have?
Thank you very much,
elmarto
