Are there patient/disease advocacy groups that have taken a position
specifically opposing embryonic stem cell research? Most of the
research and advocacy foundations (including, for example, the
National Multiple Sclerosis Society) have come out in favor of all
stem cell research, including embryonic. I'm not looking for general
pro-life or human-rights groups -- I'm looking specifically for
patient or disease-oriented organizations. Such an organization would
be pro-research but emphasize the distinction between embryonic
research and, say, cord blood or adult stem-cell research.

That's close. Is there a group specifically for patients, or with a
clear patients' component?

Sorry, I could find no mention of any such group for patients. I'll
leave your question open in hopes that another Researcher will be able
to help you.
