Can anyone tell me  what the 1998 strategic defence review recommended
in respect of the army and the TA. What was the outcome of the review
for the army and the TA

one of the reccomendations was that the t.a would be a major back up
for all the regular army,as the army continues to downgrade it,s
manpower and use manpower with better effect and now with the regiment
of scotland merged that is part of the rapid reaction force to end
wars just as quick as they started with minimal loss of life
