I understand the link between the environemntal factor and cancer is elusive.
But I am asking if there is anything we can do to slow down the cancer growth.
In teh case of stomach cancer, can we use diet/ supplements to treat
the underlying cause of cancer? Are you saying since we don't know
what is causing the cancer, we can't really do much about it? Pls
clarify your point. Thanks.

I have heard from my Aunt who is very into holistic health, but have
not researched, that cancer (and other diseases) have a difficult time
replicating and growing in a PH neutral or alkaline enviornment.
Because of American's diets, our bodies are naturally quite acidic.

My Aunt is very into testing her urine several times a day, in fact
every time she eats and goes to the bathroom. She has kept a journal
of what triggers her to become acidic and what allows her to remain
neutral or slightly alkaline and has adjusted her eating habits
accordingly.

This kind of PH monitoring of the human body has a name, and I don't
know what it is. Maybe someone else does and will chime in!

If I understand the question correctly, you are looking to see if any
diet / other treatment would reverse the cause of Ca stomach (which
has already occurred and is being treated). Since Ca stomach is caused
by the CUMULATIVE EFFECTS of diet and other factors SPREAD OVER MANY
YEARS, it is very doubtful whether ?reversing? the cause would be
possible by diet. There are many claims that diet can, within a short
time, reverse the cause of ca stomach and miraculously cure it. Please
note that most of these are fraudulent. I know this is not what you
are looking for and I seem to be pouring water on your hopes. My
intention is not that. I am trying to be truthful so that you do not
get misled into spending an enormous amount of hard earned money on
useless products. Please note that diet modifications are suggested to
PREVENT ca stomach before it occurs and not cure it. Many blood
sucking companies try to cash in on the limited ability of people to
differentiate "prevention" from "cure". They feast on the money of
people already in distress. I am sorry if i am hurting or depressing
you (not my intention), but i am a person who calls a spade a spade
and i hate to see good people being misled by fraudulent companies.
Actually the highest incidence of ca stomach is in japan and they are
supposed to be doing wonderful work in early detection and treatment
of ca stomach.

I am not sure how familiar you are with homeopathy, but I would look
for a qualified Homeopath in your area, or if you cannot find one go
to the following website and look for one. If none are close, you may
be able to do an over the phone consult.

http://homeopathic.org/find.htm

Another interesting article is located at the following location which
may be helpful:

http://www.hpathy.com/papersnew/lewis-cadmium.asp

I know that if I or someone I knew were in the position of having
stomach cancer, I would try anything (so long as it's not harmful) and
homeopathy is known to be safe. Although some people do not believe
this area of medecine works, I don't agree.

Another natural compound you can look up is MSM (short for
methylsulfonylmethane), it's not know for preventing cancer, but it
can help delay the effects, here's web reference:

http://www.wholehealthmd.com/refshelf/substances_view/1,1525,807,00.html

I would also look into Asian or Indian
medicine/naturopathy/alternative medicine, because there are many
things that aren't mainstream thay can be helpful to prolong if not
heal the disease. There are some compounds in various mushrooms that
are being studied that initially seem to have some potentially
positive benefits against cancers.

I wish you the best in your endeavours.
