Satellites are placed in large "thermal-vac" chambers where vacuum and
temperature ranges of space are simulated. One of the Bond movies
(Dr. No? The Man with the Golden Gun?) rented a large NASA
thermal-vac chamber as a set, maybe you can google a picture.
Manufacturers rent or own these chambers to test their products.

Several levels of in-house software and hardware testing are performed
by larger manufacters.

Check the manufacturers' websites re payload changes from satellite
series to satellite series. They are competing with each other with
these upgrades, and may list them on their websites.

Thanks,
I know what procedures ther are. I couldn't reach any numbers on parts
that undergo these procedures. I am trying to get some sort of market
evaluation.

Thanks anyway,

Check out the NASA site under outgas testing. This tests various
materials under vacuum conditions. They have a freely accessible
database which will give you a good indication of the various
materials and suppliers tested.
