I'm hoping to find aggregated or averaged data that shows spending
done by hospitals. Hospitals each have to report their expenditures,
to some level of detail (burn ICU vs coronary ICU etc), and I'm hoping
that somewhere someone has aggregated this data and maybe even
averaged it.

Thanks very much

Hmmm, I recall being in the auditorium at a large IT Staff meeting
once when a doctor stood up and emphatically declared (paraphrasing
from memory): "I'd love to be able to have the same level of
information with regard to room and supplies usage as the manager of
the local movie theater gets every morning regarding the preceding
night's popcorn and candy sales!" No one responded that time, either
:-(
