I need a list of the top 2000 Broadway Showtunes of All Time... 
Generally I am able to get up to about the top 50 but I need a much
longer list... after about 200 it is not necessary that they be in
order... I just need the most requested, most loved, most beautiful
Broadway Showtunes of all time (2000 of them) Well, technically I need
2003 (it's for a national radio spectacular for "On Broadway XM28" the
XM satellite radio channel devoted to showtunes...) Please Respond ASAP

I have found a site that lists Broadway musicals, alphabetically, and
gives you the option to click on each musical to obtain a listing of
songs from that musical. They claim to have “approximately 4200 Midi
files from 372 Musicals, 56 Movies and 30 Opera/Operetta's!” However,
none of this is ranked.

I can provide you with the list of shows and their songs, or
instructions on how to access it yourself, if this would meet your
requirements.

2,000 is a lot of songs!
I found two postings of Broadway Musical songs on the Web, which I
have combined.  After eliminating duplicates I have 1,095 distinct
titles--most of them with the name the show they're from.
Would you like me to post my list as an answer to this or a different
question?

actually for $50 I really need all 2000 and it needs to be the most
recognizable showtunes around... not just a list of showtunes... I was
actually doing this to see if I could save some time on my part but I
can classify all the Broadway songs on our active servers at XM radio
myself... I would've liked to have had them in order but really I just
need the 2000 most recognized broadway showtunes.... if that is
impossible then please just refund my cost and I'll do the work
myself.... and thank you for trying but since this is a national
multi-billion dollar entertainment company I really need for it to be
reliable.... so if there is nothing further I'll do the work by
hand... PS for more info you can always check out www.XMRadio.com 
you're bound to get at least some questions about it....

This is a very subjective question - what is a 'top' showtune, after
all? I think the best approach would be to pose the question to a
Broadway-show related mailing list (there are a few on the Yahoo
system) and see what responses you get.
