Dear bizio-ga; Since you are agreeable to my information as an answer I am posting it here in an effort to officially close your question: In the center column you will find the historical exchange rate of the Iranian Rial against the US Dollar. As I mentioned the chart includes data from present dating back to June 1998, but only sparse data dating back to 1993 (and no data beyond 1993). ECONSTATS http://www.econstats.com/fx/fx_am14.htm I hope you find that my answer exceeds your expectations. If you have any questions about my research please post a clarification request prior to rating the answer. Otherwise I welcome your rating and your final comments and I look forward to working with you again in the near future. Thank you for bringing your question to us. Best regards; Tutuzdad-ga ? Dear Bizio, Regarding your question, please note that the exchange rate between IR Rial and US$ has been pegged in various stages in the past. The country followed a two rate system until a couple of years ago, through which there were two exchange rates. One lower rate to be used for government expenses or major industrial projects (e.g. 1750rls 1997-2002). There was another semi-floating rate for other use. Hence the table in the link provided does not reflect the floating rls exchange rate. The current FX system is a unified semi-floating exchange rate. Hope this helps. |
