I am looking for a book but I can?t remember the author or name of the
book it is a fiction/horror novel. The story is about a small town and
a new newspaper reporter moves to town. She lives in a log cabin or
small house in the woods and after that I only remember bits and
pieces so the following maybe a little jumbled:
?	There is a house that has purple light shining out if it at night
and a lot of different town people go into it.
?	Near the house there is a mound. A pregnant woman and her husband go
to have a picnic on it and I think she has a miscarriage or close to
one when they are sitting on it. They may also have a dog with them
and I think he goes crazy while they are there.
?	The new reporter starts poking her nose in where it doesn?t belong
and weird things start happening to her. She is chased by bees that
swarm all over her and start to go inside her crotch (sounds bad I
know) so he jumps in a pond or lake to save herself.
?	I think in the end her and a guy or maybe a few people escape, but
the town is disappearing or something.

If anyone can help that would be great it is driving me crazy. One
other think the book is about 10-15 years old.
