Some further information:
The US Census places a value of US$103.7bn for software revenues in
2002. Gartner estimate that the business software market will grow at
a rate of 6.5% CAGR through 2009. That would put a value on the US
market of approx US$120bn in 2005 and US$153bn in 2009.

The market for Business Applications software (excludes games) in 2002 was US$43bn.
The market for Systems Software was in 2002 was US$40bn.
thanks
