Were packing peanuts originally devised to transport the lens of the Mt Palomar telescope up the mountain? Was William Cashman (Goddard/NASA)associated with their invention? |

Greetings, From these two sites it appears that the latest Palomar mirror was installed before styrofoam was on the market. I am assuming that you are asking about the mirror and not the lens. http://inventors.about.com/library/inventors/blpolystyrene.htm http://www.astro.caltech.edu/palomar/history.html Are you also asking about the William Cashman reported on 9/11 sites?
