Is there any other writing on the IC?

The "7343" could be the date code of the integrated circuit rather
than its part number.

Are you sure it's an IC you're seeking? The "7343" can also be a size
code for a tantalum capacitor.

Hi,

The IC is used in a wireless modem made by RIM . It was made in Canada.

The modem Model is R902M-2-0

The IC package:PLCC, 48pins.

Below the part number RIM 7343, it is written 9842. I suppose that it was 

produced on 1998, April, or 1998, 4rd quqrter.

Above the part number RIM 7343, it is written RIM (italics capital letters.

The IC could be the RF receiver.

Motion, the Canadian firm which produces wireless devices and is known
