Hi,
Selling music downloads over the internet is termed as a 'service'
because there is no transfer of actual physical substance. In a music
shop you buy a CD and get a case, booklet, the CD etc... but with
music downloads all you get is a digital stream of data, so you pay
for bandwidth and copyrights, which cant be termed as a product,
therefore, a service. much like when you use the internet you pay your
ISP (internet service provider) and you dont get an actual product,
but rather, pay for a service.
