Question ID: 604168
Are there guides that tell you how to research a place you want to
work? Like when you are going in for an interview, people always tell
you to learn about the institution first, but what should you know?
Are there articles or sites that describe this process? A good answer
will earn a $10 tip!

clockrooster-ga,

Please have a look at this link:

http://www.collegegrad.com/jobsearch/15-4.shtml
Job Search Information...Insider Company Information

and some of the other sites that you can link to from this page, with
a lot more information about preparing for a job interview.

Is this the sort of resource you were looking for? If so, what else
do you need to make for a complete answer to your question?

And if this isn't the sort of thing you want, please let us know a bit
more detail about how we can best help you here.

Thanks,

pafalafa-ga

Thank you for the site you provided. This is the
kind of information that I'm looking for. Could you just find some
sources that might tell me a little more explicitly what kinds of things
I should know about the employer before my interview? Thank you!

There is no answer at this time.

Ok,
so first,my answer here may not be the issue whom you're asking,if yes
then great,if not then it sure will help you out on getting a job...
There's a show on the BBC called "who would hire you",I have it on my
HD,although havent watched it yet, it may spread some light for
you,you can track it right here :
http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcthree/tv/hire_you/index.shtml

About getting to know institutes and other stuff, this is one of the
things I learn at my Uni, I learn Logistics, which tell you how to sort
this things out.
actually in my country you can call it Logistics or "Industry and
Management engineering",its the same thing with different names.
A guide or something like that im not sure, but if u'll take some
courses on this firection of field (Logistics etc,..) then you
probably will get some decent answered.

if you could be more specific,I may help you out...
Good luck
