The navigation system in my Saab 9-5 cannot be used (programmed) while driving. I find this very annoying as not even a passenger can start or change a route that was put in, nor look up a hotel or restaurant while driving. I have talked this over with the dealer, and they are not aware of any trick to disable this 'security feature'. I am SURE there must be a way to disable this annoying restriction - either by Saab technicians with the right tools, or probably even by anybody who knows about a certain secret key sequence on the unit. The car is a 2005 model 9-5 Estate, produced for the Belgian market. I believe the navigation unit is supplied to Saab by Denso. Question: How can I use the GPS navigation unit in my Saab 9-5 while the car is moving, effectively bypassing the default configuration that disables the controls of the unit while driving faster than 5 km/hr ? |

I too have the same problem. Also, if anyone can search a basic business name like Best Buy, or Circuit City, please let me know too... BTW: This is the worst GPS availble. It is 7 years behind in technology. A total rip off. Save your money and purchase an after market. - AKAK |
