cleaned up and also hit the siding in my garage. A small portion of
the siding has been broken and the wood is seen through.
I told him that he needs to fix it.(this was on friday). He said
somebody will come on monday to fix it.
I gave him a cheque for his services on friday.
Can I now stop payment (its monday and cheque hs not yet been cashed)

I have been in this position before on some different circumstances,
and I did cancelled the check and now last month I need a very
important letter from that person, which I had to send to the
government. It sounds funny thouhgh, now I paid the amount back. Best
thing is talk to that guy, and do something that is good for both of
you. It is going to snow next month too and u can use him for this
whole winter instead of calling the bank and stopping the check right
now..
