I have an 18 year old grandson who has always suffered from very
excessive body hair, although there were no other problems found from
tests such as hormone. It is very coarse and thick black hair which
covers legs arms and lower back and causes him embarrassment. Laser
treatment has beeen useless, electrolysis too slow and obviously
waxing is very painful. Any other permanent suggestions?

Yes, have him realize he is a real man and real men have hair on them,
unlike freaky, waxed, plucked, nancy-boys.

Sorry, my wife told me to write that; she likes bears.

I'll chime in to comment that every country we have lived in, except
Japan, thinks hairy men are proper and cannot understand why Americans
seem to have no hair (according to TV and movies).

Waxing will stop hurting after awhile and will grow in slightly
thinner and finer then before the more often you do it...

Haha I know exactly what he is going through and the key is just to
either shave it or wax it, waxing will obviously hurt at first but
it's easy to get used to and if he really is that bothered about it he
will suffer the short term pain. But on the other hand if tests have
shown nothing wrong with him then perhaps it's just a phase and he
will grow out of it :)

Hope that helped :D
