I have a business that ships about 200 letter mail. Each letter mail
is about 8 x 8 inches and weights about 2 oz. The cost of shipping is
about 60 cents for each letter mail with in USA and $1.60 for England
and $1.70 for Australia with USPS. I need you to find out if we can
use UPS Mail Innovations, how this system works, how much saving we
are getting, what software they offer. Also same for USPS Permit
program.

UPS Mail Innovations is something different. Not much info is posted
at ups.com or even the UPS Mail Innovations website.

Our company uses UPS Mail Innovations. In terms of postage, it does
not offer any savings for packages 4oz or under. The rate is the same
as the standard USPS First Class Mail rate. The savings for these type
of packages are in time. UPS Mail Innovations collects the packages,
weighs them, and processes them for you. All you need to do is make a
label with the return and shipping address.

Savings are more significant for packages of 1lb or more.

For Airmail packages, the process is similar. Instead of charging
per-piece, however, they charge a per-pound charge based on the total
weight of all your international packages per day. For example, if you
sent 1lb 3oz worth of letters by Airmail you would be charged a 2lb
rate.

The rates are usually very good, although the savings depends on the
destination. We usually save about $5 per pound.
