Thanks for the comment. Sorry that is not the commercial I am
referring to. I know  the commercial you are talking about. The 2006
Honda Civic commercial I am talking about is the newest to date I
believe. The car is going through city streets and there are people
cheering on the sides of the road. Also at the beginning the lights on
the building light up with the music. They are acting like sound bars
that go up when the music hits a loud note. I am pretty sure the one
featured in the civic commercial is also featured in the 300c
commercial. I have googled all around. They are a growing number of
people that are going crazy to find out what that song is. I really
hope one of the researchers can help me out because there a lot of
people out there wanting to know the answer to this question.

i am looking for the song too... i have a hunch that it could be the
group, "the postal service".  their music is sounds simliar to the one
in the commercial...  however, i dont know which song it is.  maybe we
have a lead??

It's not Break It On Down. I have that whole song and there isn't any
spot in the song that matches the music in the commercial.

Hey everyone, finally an answer. Turns out to be not an actual song.
It was written for the commercial which is bit of bad news. The
