I have implemented a Deskband object a la Paul DiLascia's "MyBand is Your Band: More Reusable MFC Goodies with Band Objects and COMToys" article. It works great. The problem is, installing the program (regsvr32 of the DLL) only makes an entry on the Toolbars menu. The user then has to select this entry to make the program visible. What I want to do is to programmatically make my deskband visible at install time. I can't find any registry entries that amount to "a list of active deskbands". SHLoadInProc() doesn't seem to do the trick either. I know it can be done; Google Desktop does it! |
